Sketches for some long-overdue fanart, from one of my all-time favorite books.

Candy Foster-Smith, from David R Palmer's Emergence. She's...eleven? Twelve? So even if she IS a super-evolved human with a sixth-degree black belt in karate and molecular-level control over her body... she's got an attitude. :D

Terry Foster-Smith, also from Emergence. Candy considers him her 'retarded twin brother', although she quickly adds that for a macaw, he's a prodigy. I think his toes are waaaay too dainty for a Hyacinth... I'll have to buff them out for the finished product. Even Eleanor, the green-wing macaw whom I have the privilege of knowing, can wrap her toes around my wrist and green-wings are smaller than Hyacinths. ...everything is smaller than a Hyacinth. Including some eagles. O_o
